Editor’s Note: In June, 1991, Bobby Gay and Jack Lynch celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with a family party at a park in Cary, Illinois. The party goers included members of the Lynch, Casey, Heffron, Romano, Terpstra, Meyer, Pleil, Gomez, Dwyer, Hanley, Thompson and Bowe families and scads of others. The sequence of events was mingling, a water squirting fight between Caseys and Bowes, a fiercely contested volleyball game and dome monkey bar climbers vying for best of show. Food came next followed by Meg Lynch Meyer introducing her sister Cathy Lynch Pleil. Cathy got the formalities started and Jack Lynch concluded the affair with heart felt remarks.
