Editor’s Note: Rounding the confluence of the North and South Branches of the Chicago River at Wolf Point, Chicago’s Classic Lady headed up the North Branch to the turning basin at Goose Island by the original Montgomery Ward warehouse and office complex.   New townhouses and condominium high rise buildings lined both banks of the River along the way.  A glance back to the south offered a great view of the new skyscrapers going up at Wolf Point.
