Editor’s Note: In September, 1993, I took in my seaside hotel room view and joined Jean Gwinn and Myriam Riboud as they visited the oysters stalls at Cancale’s harbor. Then we drove to the top of the cliff overlooking Cancale’s harbor and Jean Gwinn showed me the lot he had considered building on before buying the Montcalm House at 2 Rue des Rimains.
