The Casey and Gwinn Families
Editor’s Note: After Tony Bowe’s interview with Bill Bowe about his immediate family, they then turn to the Casey and Gwinn families. Topics include how John and Martha met, their early lives, and their children Theodore, usually known as Ted, and Margaret, usually known as Maggie.
In recalling the Gwinn family of his mother, Bill notes the settlement in Baltimore of his maternal grandfather, Richard Gwinn, Jr. and the presence of other branches of the Gwinn family in Georgia. He notes one of those Gwinns, Robert Augustus Guinn, wrote an account of his service in the Confederate Army during the Civil War.
