The Cliff Dwellers Honors William Drennan
Editor’s Note: It was no surprise to me when a former President of The Cliff Dwellers, Kristine Fallon, organized a lunch to honor long-time Club Member Bill Drennan. The gathering was prompted by Drennan’s recent retirement as Chair of the Membership Committee. Throughout my own association with The Cliff Dwellers, Bill has been one of the Club’s most devoted and hard working members. Beginning as Club Secretary, and then a Vice President, more recently Bill served for many years as its Membership Committee chair. In this important role, Bill has been unflagging in work to help the Club bounce back from the negative effects of the COVID period’s lockdown. The luncheon event honoring Bill reflects the enduring values that have made The Cliff Dwellers arts club one of Chicago’s long term, if little known, cultural treasures. To see who joined in the celebration and get a better sense of the Club and the affection with which Bill is held, you can see a few of the pictures of the event below, but you’ll get a complete sense of the grand affair here.
