Law School to Army Intelligence Training (1967-1968)

In talking about his post college years with Tony Bowe, Bill Bowe recalls how the Vietnam War and the draft began to change the student environment in both colleges and law schools.  Bill goes on to discuss the factors that led him to enlist in May 1968 for three years in Army Intelligence. Bill shares offbeat memories of Basic Training at Ft. Leonard Wood in Missouri, his Advanced Individual Training (AIT) as a counterintelligence agent at the U.S. Army Intelligence School (USAINTS) at Ft. Holabird in Baltimore, and a fraught trip to the Pentagon in hopes of influencing his assignment for the rest of his three-year tour of duty.
