Indian Summer

Editor’s Note: On a hazy, lazy summer day, with the Thunderbird F-16s making a racket above, folks at Navy Pier and on the sightseeing and pleasure boats at the mouth of Chicago Harbor were doing what they normally do on a summer weekend.  Water sports also ruled within the confines of nearby Millennium Park.  There the children at Jaume Plensa’s Crown Fountain discovered that if they waited long enough a rather pleasant looking woman would adopt a more severe visage right before unloading a torrent of spittle on the little innocents.
