S&rsquo;en est suivi une soir\u00e9e d&rsquo;histoire irlandaise, de jigs, de po\u00e9sie et de chansons. Le plaisir a commenc\u00e9 lorsque Pat Savage, irlandais convaincu, a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 Pat Whalen, habitant de Cliff, pour \u00e9clairer la foule avec une br\u00e8ve histoire de l&rsquo;Irlande. \u00c0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tonnement de tous, Whalen a entrepris de raconter toute l&rsquo;histoire de l&rsquo;Irlande, de l&rsquo;\u00e2ge de glace \u00e0 nos jours, en un discours de 15 minutes. Tous s&rsquo;accordent \u00e0 dire qu&rsquo;il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;un triomphe amusant de la compression qui, heureusement, n&rsquo;est pas une ex\u00e9g\u00e8se de l&rsquo;\u00e9rudition tendancieuse. Nike Whitcomb, Joan Pantsios, Michael Burke, Peter Blatchford, Richard Nystrom, Mary Nell Murphy sont ensuite mont\u00e9s sur sc\u00e8ne avec des b\u00e9n\u00e9dictions, des limericks, des po\u00e8mes et des chansons. Tout au long de la soir\u00e9e, Peter Brady a chant\u00e9 des airs irlandais en s&rsquo;accompagnant de sa guitare.      <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-31542
